Mood: Excited, impatient

I've returned from the STAR Program and currently living with my best friend Kay. But that's just a quick (really) update to what's been up.

Right now though, I just want to write about all my ideas that are running through my head. Kay and I have decided to hit Japan's Harajuku street fashion for Halloween. Since it's seen here in America almost at all it can seem very costume-y especially with the styles Kay and I decided on.

After taking a quiz of what Japanese street fashion clique we would fit in,we decided to do that style for Halloween. Kay got Gothic Lolita, while I got the result of Decora.

I'm going to try and not use so much pink since it's not exactly my favorite color, but it's essential to this fashion. I think I'm going to do a mixture of black, and balance it out with the pink. But I think it'll be fun, I can make majority of the bracelets, necklaces and little plastic toys are pretty cheap. :)

These are the rules I have to keep in mind;

1. Layer. Layering is one of the most important elements in decora. Layering is everything. Don't be afraid to layer socks over tights or 3-4 different shirts together.

2. Don't look like a walking brand name. Decora is a childlike fashion and yes, Hello Kitty and Pokemon are adored, but try to add your own personal 'thing' to the clothes. Better yet, make your own.

3. Don't just suddenly decide you want to start wearing nothing but decora. Ease into it gradually.

4. Don't go out wearing decora if you don't have enough accessories or layers to suit your taste or else it'll look messy and incomplete.

5. Hair plays a huge role in decora. The most popular hairstyle is simple, cute pigtails. Accessorize with a few headbands and a truckload of hair clips. Bows are very popular in the decora world.

6. Don't hesitate to decorate yourself with plastic toys. This adds dimension to your decora outfit.

7. Cute body jewels and glitter are also good. Stick a few stars or a smiley face sticker under your eyes.

8. Don't wear a lot of makeup. This style is all about childlike playfulness and you can hardly expect to get that look with a tonne of makeup on.

9. Socks make up a huge part of the outfit. Feel free to embellish the tops with frills, ribbons, chains, charms... basically, whatever tickles your fancy.

10. Decora isn't all about wearing sky-scraping stilettos. Far from it! In every decora girl's wardrobe lie a few pairs of bright and cute sneakers and/or flats.

11. Pink is everything. It makes up most of a decora girl's chosen colour for the outfit. That doesn't mean you can't wear black, but if you do, then wear a lot of pink to compensate.

12. Virtual Pets are golden. Any respecting decora girl isn't complete without a virtual pet (think of a Nintendog or if you're on a tight budget, a Tamagotchi.)

13. And finally, be confident. Most people outside of Japan are unaware of your cool fashion sense and may mock you or want to take pictures! So smile and chiizu!

I'm excited to get started on this but I need to find a job so I can get the money to get all this stuff. And Kaitlyn is planning on having another Halloween party on the weekend and I'm so going down dressed up like that.

How exciting. <3

Listening to: Hyena by GazettE
Mood: Awake

I'm finally back home, well, close to enough of home. I'm staying at Katie's house for the next month and a half.

But I guess I'm falling back into this depression I guess you can call it, so here are my rants. That feel of having someone there for you. I mean, a lot of my friends up at NAU (mainly the STAR Program) told me don't get a boyfriend, it's just to much drama. But it's hard not to want one. Especially now.

Katie has a boyfriend, a really good one this time. He honestly treats right, and it's someone whose really good for her. But even just a few minutes ago she was cuddled up with him looking really happy. She texts him every night, giggles every time she thinks of him. I'm so happy for her, but at the same time I really want what she has.

I think out of all my friends I haven't had a boyfriend (Breezy hasn't but she has had her first kiss at least.). It drives me nuts because I'm waiting for that one person who'll accept me for me but I've been waiting so long... Sometimes I wonder if waiting is really worth it.

And it really annoys me when all my girlfriends tell me how "cute" I am, or how "pretty" I am... it doesn't feel like. Not at all. If I so cute or so pretty then why haven't I found this person.
